Can a PIP be given anytime after 3,4 rating

Hi,
If someone received a 3,4 rating how long does it take to get on PIP?
Can the PIP be given anytime during the year or is it within the next performance review at the end of year?

Now my manager logs every discussion and even if I want a day off, I have to get permission to take time off when it normally would just get approved in the past. And their keeping track of anything I work on for reviews. It's very uncomfortable working this way

I’ve been a manager for quite a few years now. I’ve never given anyone a 4 or put them on a PIP without good reason.

OP: You have company since Citi itself is on a PIP as directed by the Fed and other regulators. Citi forced curved rankings of normally 1 or 2 Rated employees onto 3's and even 4's (4 being PIP territory). Citi is getting a taste of its own medicine by being Rated a 4 and is on a PIP with the FRB, OCC etc.. ROTFLMFAO !!!!!!!!!!!! Another MRIA or Consent Order may be the Final T0rpedo that finally sinks the Citibank Titanic or rather its, more deserved apt name, Sh!tibank Titanic. LOL !!!!!!!!! Sh!tibank actually tipped the Ratings Scale since it's actually deserving of a 5-Rating !!!

Post ID: @1zvv+1rctWp0s This is the reason why employees must Never tell their employers and co-workers who their new employer is. The new job may or may not work out and you could get Fired after only a few months to one year. Then if you start applying for jobs back in your previous employer, the previous employer will ask difficult questions about why you want leave ABC Company so soon. You must get creative and vague when asked by your current employer why you're quitting.

I’d recommend start looking for a new job immediately! It’s always good to have a plan b! A new Executive Admin who started last August was put on PIP after only working here for 2-3 months last year. She was terminated at the end of January 2024 without any severance package! Good luck!

Lots of employees are given 3,4 rating this year to avoid bonuses and hikes. There is hidden threat of let go. Don’t take too much pressure from your manager. As early post says record your conversations and hit back your manager on right words. Just don’t sit and work hard again. It’s of no worth.

Managing you out is cheaper than paying you severance. You should also log every conversation with a followup to your manager that reiterates your understanding. Micro management can work both ways.

It can be given at anytime. I used to be a manager now I’m a worker so I’m familiar with it.
