Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

This is just a continuation, the beginning of the end happend some time ago...

Several years ago one of the most important projects was basically moved to Slovenia and of course, we lost ground to our competitors. What do you think it will happen when all the teams are moved to one of the new GCCs?

This company has been making the wrong decisions for a while now, we've been steady in our way to collapse...

Slovenian individuals, initially part of AGB prior to its acquisition by Nielsen, exemplify the benefits of diversification, being located in Europe rather than the US. Their expertise, with a history likely exceeding 30 years, signifies a deep well of knowledge from which Nielsen can greatly benefit. Additionally, the economic efficiency provided by Slovenia, recognized as a lower-cost country (LCC), highlights the strategic advantage of incorporating such cost-effective teams. This is not only true for the team in Slovenia but also reflects a broader trend across various Centers of Excellence in Europe, many of which remain underappreciated and not widely recognized. These centers contribute significantly to the diversity and operational efficiency of global organizations, offering specialized skills, knowledge, and cost benefits that are often overlooked. The critique directed at the Slovenian team, therefore, not only disregards their substantial history and contributions but also fails to acknowledge the value that similar Centers of Excellence across Europe bring to the global stage.

Before offending people and accusing without proof please do your research about the role of the Slovenian group within the Nielsen Engineering, the number of their submitted inventions and their contribution to key metering products, so you can learn the reasons why such group with almost 25 years of experience in the field of audience metering was acquired by Nielsen in the first place. You should be looking for reasons for losing ground to competitors elsewhere, not in a group which is a significant generator for novel products at Nielsen today and is not situated in the USA.
