Thread regarding Waters Corp. layoffs

Udit continues to steal employee money

Small pay rises for those left working at waters. However as udit and shareholders take priority no one will see their raise money until October. udit is going to hold onto that extra money and interest for 6 months.
He’s really down the back of the sofa for change now.

Why are people putting up with this sh-t? Leave.

Layoffs started in May last year. Officially 4% reported to the market. Unofficially approaching 800 job losses globally in <1yr or 10%!
What made Waters attractive doesn’t exist any more, “the Waters difference” no longer exists. My advice, start looking around for work, ideally get a new job on the back of a severance package. It’s a shame to see the destruction from within of what was a great company. This is now a poor copy of Thermo, Danaher, Agilent.

I’m sharing about this nonsense on Glassdoor, Indeed, and any other site that allows me to. I’ve been quiet for too long (particularly when we all got the short end of the stick during COVID). We have to share this toxic behavior in any format we can, otherwise management can just keep talking about how compassionate they are. It’s time to stand up for ourselves, people. I might dread going to work on Monday, but at least I can start fighting back.

How the wexford plant is doing so badly but has no effect on share price.it obviously
means it has an irrelevant impact on the overall strategy and is surplus to requirements.

The shenanigans that have been going on at waters (mass layoffs, delayed pay raises, low bonuses, removal of company cars, promotion of toxic management styles) are just contributing to employee attrition. I was forced out a couple of years ago when I saw the writing on the wall and leaving was the best decision I could have made. This is not the company I joined 20 years ago, and is now just a hollow corporation paying lip service to work/life balance, employee welfare, and diversity, with little to no innovation in the product pipeline.
Udit doesn't give two sh--s about you, so don't believe his cringe-inducing LinkedIn posts.

They’ve carried on laying off since July anyway. If they keep numbers small they don’t have to announce it anyway. Spoken to two who were let go from Milford in January.
But yes agree they want people to leave. The books don’t balance.
Latest product releases have been sh--e and this year isn’t looking any better at all.

That’s the point. It’s a backdoor layoff by attrition. If they force people out on their own accord, no severance, no bad PR, etc. It’s going to be a mess.
