Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

I made a mistake that cost Nielsen $250K last week. LOL! 😂

Basically this is what happened. I was asked to take on the responsibilities of somebody who was recently let go and given very little training on the processes they handle.
All of the expertise in this client and the special considerations around them with this product went with them. Then while I was handling it, I made an error that messed up some measurement, and angered the client, who now wants a refund, and is threatening to pull out of Nielsen altogether. Hilarious.

My supervisor doesn't even care because he's spread too thin as well, and is also looking to leave the company ASAP, as am I.

And the hilarious thing is that the person they let go was definitely making a lot less than $250k a year (plus the loss of future business with this client)

Anyway, Good Luck Nielsen! But I'm sure Karthik knows exactly what he's doing.

We can all start making mistakes that will cost Nielsen $$$.

We can then blame it on work related stress and go on FMLA.

We return from FMLA; we get laid off, get our severance. Nielsen is playing dirty with their employees and we should be able to do the same.

It’s a cluster F; bad quality will equal bad data to client.

Question that should be asked is if clients really care about the data they will be receiving.

Their theory is if they throw a bunch of cheap labor bodies at the mess they created it will eventually fix itself…hopefully. I can tell you right now that some of the client SLAs in place are iron clad and any decrease in quality mean huge financial loss to Gracenote.

You are a hero! Well done! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Fu-k this place. I no longer care about clients. They can fu-k off from Nielsen. Then leaders can’t get their 150% bonus while we get scraps.

I am waiting for the payout. Don’t want to give them the satisfaction of not having to give me severance. I will do fu-kall till they get rid of me. Will use them the same way they use us.

Data will be impacted. If enough clients push back, Nielsen will need to react and fix,but for now, it’s a done deal and our jobs are being offshored.
