My job ladder changed in my workday about 5 months ago, but was not communicated to me. What do you suppose this means?

Job bands moving a lot for inflation.
Wages nope not at all.
Yes I noticed that in January. I now make less than the minimum for my range!!!!
The ladders aren't static, nor are they tied to anything binding. They can change, so long as the change is a lateral move. The salary bands describe ranges, but even they aren't completely prescriptive.
How high up are we talking?
