Left in Feb with zero regrets.
Not being the person on your team selected to go but having someone else chosen. Then being assigned their work. No extra pay, even more stress. Time to retire!
Wow. I personally know several males, all under 60.
You had to be over 60, white and female. Seems that is what was picked. I know of 5 within my work friends. We are taking the money and running. No hard feelings.
Not getting promoted when my coworker did and I always got ones and twos. When questioning this I was not given any reassurance that I would ever get promoted. I’m sure part of this had to do with me moving to another state and working 100% remote but that would never have been admitted. When there was a project coming up and it was my responsibility and always has been, I was not the person handling this. When I found out on a zoom call that my coworker was handling it you should’ve seen the look on my manager’s face when I questioned her. At that point she already knew I was being let go. II got a kick out of confronting her with the entire team on zoom. She always made sure on the calls that she had no expression on her face so you couldn’t read her but when I questioned her, she was shocked. I just retired early.
- Being asked out of the blue to document things.
- Having team members show up at your meetings when they otherwise were not working in the subject matter.
- All of a sudden being excluded from meetings that you naturally should have been invited to.
