It's a shame this company has descended so low that people have to go outside the company in an attempt to protect public welfare. I am glad that there are still some decent people willing to do that. Clearly the degenerate Boeing leadership didn't and won't. They only care about their excess salaries and severance packages. Seems like a white collar crime on massive scale for a long time.

Nothing wrong with a MBA degree. But an engineering company first needs leaders with real engineering degrees and actual demonstrated experience/ethics (so preferably State Licensed Professional Engineers). If you have that plus a MBA...like the leadership at Airbus...that's all goodness. If you only have an accounting degree and MBA from a no name college like the presumed next nepo CEO...that's the opposite of goodness. But in the case of Boeing...nothing really matters anymore so it's a mute point.

Airbus is also run by MBAs.

Sounds like business as usual. This is what happens when you have people with MBAs running a business that is heavily reliant on safety and reliability. If anything slows down production, it becomes a financial liability. Another problem is the yes men on the production floor that will always say they can get it done, even if it means they cut corners. That's just the nature of the beast when doing silly things like pointing out discrepant conditions or trying to uphold standards is viewed by management as being a problem child. So what's easier for them? Fix the actual problems and make the product better, or move the problem child. What ever is more cost effective.

I hope this witness lives to tell the entire tale.
