Sending one tech out...in his 1990's minivan...to do a job on a busy street...in a sketchy neighborhood...in bad weather...up high on a ladder. THAT is what a union can help you with. Put money to the side for a minute....don't risk your life doing installs. It is scary what goes on out in the field...
Union, not Union, it doesn’t matter. A union can’t do d!ck for you when a company is in a nose dive straight into the ground. AUSA will not be a company 2 years from now.
Might as well do it that game of them telling you your and asset is just another tactic they use 🤔 I know one tech after the union was not voted in he said my numbers are good he had complete faith even switched over to another position within the company and they got rid of him his great numbers did not mean diddly, also one call center was told don’t vote in the union we will keep you here 5 more years, guess what call center? They was eliminated, you can look back on this site for proof of that, this is your choice you decide your fate hope it works out
Got to start somewhere boys!
Any sort of manual labor position that has multiple levels of possible danger to it, needs a union. But that ship has sailed. All of the senior men who still work there should have taken that stand long ago. It’s useless now but think about where you would be after 25 years of legit representation. Good contracts and security. 2 things you don’t have now.
I feel with unless you have all the contractors working for Altice unionized It will be hard to take a legit stand against them.Should have been done years ago when they first showed up.
Yeah. Go union. Sure. Been there done that. All I saw was a bunch of people who didn’t show up to meetings but had their hands out to shop stewards like I was to represent them and get them out of trouble. Which most of the time they just weren’t doing their job anyways. Also in most states whether you know it or not even your sups are allowed union reps if they get fired and they don’t even know it. At the end of the day our dues mandatorily sponsored the democrat party yet most of us were conservative and we had no say on that part. No thanks.
Guys always looking out for themselves is why this company has been ran so poorly. When the unions came in on Long Island they negotiated a better raise than the non union guys. That ii itself paid off the dues going forward after the first year. Plus protection from being fired or laid off . Not saying it can’t happen but it definitely makes it harder for them to do so. Sounds like a no brainer .
Pay dues and get less pay? Where do I sign up
Logan front counter went
Monmouth is in desperate need. Snap and shake has to go.
let's just make sure you choose stewards that actually care.
