Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Let's form labour unions

We need labour unions to fight against constant layoffs while c-suites are busy lining their pockets with tax payer money via CHIPS act with zero accountability.

Too many PEs, Senior PEs, Fellows doing grade 8 work (especially in NEX in Austin, Texas under Sachin Katti)! Fire them including Sachin Katti his direct reports and downgrade all the PEs, Senior PEs, Fellows to grade 8-9!!!

It would take years to get a union organized… Intel doesn’t have that’s long. Easier to just go find a new job. You are going to need to do so pretty soon anyway.

"hmm, you are right
it is better to get your job outsourced to india
or a cheaper foreigner brought in to replace you
all the while skilless management and parasitic investment class
get paid even though they could not make a chip to save their lives"

If you truly think unions will save you from that, then you have your head buried in the sand. Did this stop the automakers from outsourcing to Mexico?
As a fyi - I am a member of the Teamsters union. Unions are about as worthless as they come.

"Union? Yeah, how about no.
This is how you get $20 cheeseburgers."

Someone needs to stand up to fight big corruptions

You're already in a union, the union of the non-working but still employed. Why pay union dues when you are already collecting a check for zero effort?

Workers already run the Intel corporation, we're just not getting paid for it.

Before you start the fight, don’t do it in street fighting style. No one will protect you. Let do it properly in a legal way like a boxing match so you still can get compensations in case you lost the battle in the ring.

Let start with this first

Go work somewhere else. No one wants a union.

Good luck with that, easy to sound antagonistic against Intel when you’re a posting anonymously. Raise a stink to form a union, HR will catch wind of your involvement, and you’ll be included in the next layoff. Count on it.

Just find another company to work at, much easier approach. And if you’re in sales or marketing, your Intel days are numbered anyway.

Next steps:

  • Google for unions that represent tech workers.
  • Pick a union.
  • Give them a call.

Clean out the worthless management ranks, so managers actually manage, and you won't need labor unions.
