Any Alterans able to comment on the ill wind that is blowing?

Sounds like a fabulous place to spend at least a 3rd if your day. Most of the deadbeat loser management has recently left in past 2 years leaving only the much bigger losing leaders. What ever the $#@& name they use...VP in Amy title stands for Very Pathetic
Good luck to anyone trying to do a good job and feel good about themselves. .
@7wwt+1rXlqX73 -- Only Middle Management and above is Over Staffed and Under Utilized. Too many Chiefs?
The actual working stiffs who do the real work around here are Under Staffed and Over Utilized (or they WOULD BE if overall business wasn't down so much). Most of the grunts I know are wearing multiple hats and being asked to do things that should be handled by other groups, which are of course either completely depleted of experienced/knowledgeable people or no longer a functional concern. How many of you are trying to solve issues and keep running into "we used to have people that did that, but we have no idea of who handles this now"?
I bet most of the real workers around here spend half their time trying to work-around the dead spaces in the org tree or find alternative solutions instead of, you know, actually doing their jobs.
To address the OP thread: Over the past month, there are quite a few people that my group sporadically interacts with that are no longer with the company. I've gotten three or four emails from other groups explaining that the person we used to interact with to get things done is no longer around. Even got one email that just told us if we had questions or needed solutions to send it to a generic Management inbox.
I'm pretty sure someone I know just got a "promotion" because their management is no longer around. We all saw the announcement emails about VPs being switched to other roles (Sales, Marketing, etc...) without any relevant experience or details. I don't know how many people are gone at this point. What percentage of these are layoffs I couldn't say, I'm sure there's people jumping ship or "spending more time with family as they move on to 'more challenging' opportunities".
Remember, being a Part of the Constellation/HARRIS Family means that your company is on Hospice care. Our CEO has publicly stated that "your experience doesn't matter, your knowledge doesn't matter - all raises and promotions are going to be based on highest bootlicking score". I may have paraphrased that a little bit, but the message is very clear.
Altera has got maybe 5-7 years before it's effectively just dwindling Support on moribund products and all the revenue-generating contracts are over and done.
Mustn't have been a major shakeup - so still over staffed and under utilized?
Which location?
Layoffs happened last Friday.
Thanks, MP!
No comment, no idea about layoffs, nobody tells me anything.
