Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

So Again What's Up With Wisconsin

Wisconsin continues to post jobs on both Indeed and our FTR site.
This for business growth or does the dictator director continues to rule by threats and demeaning guidance?

Trust me are not victims. We bust or A$$es and contractors come in and take the good jobs and on top that we have to follow up on those contractors if something isn't right or a customer complaint. wtf. Enough of get crapped.

You should stop being a victim, take control of your life and find another job.....

"So a contract sales person came to our door trying to sell us ftr internet. I work for Frontier,I have Frontier and tried to sell my wife fiber Internet. She said he looked ratty, smoked a cigarette in my driveway and looked at his phone for about 15 minutes and walked down the street. This was in Wausau Wi. WTF is going on. I hate working here and bidding my time. Another tech told me about this site, may keep an eye on the comments and pass on info as I see fit. Frontier get rid of your management here and hire someone who cares. Our marketing su-ks and management don't give a cr-p. Contractors do our work because they don't know copper. Many of us are looking at tds to jump ship."

I'm looking to retire (in Wi) and coming back contracting. Better job picks aka Cherry picks, no overtime, no Union dues. All fiber installs, something we have been begging for as Ftr employees. And no more Joe Muia.

Rumor has it several exchanges are up for sale in Wi. Press release we hear should be out by July 10th. Several employees are to go with the new buyers. About 10 % outside techs, no construction or assignment personal at this point. Stay tuned

Another retiree from WI here. Yep Joe has caused all the destruction in the state. Us retired guys meet once a week for breakfast just down the street from the States old HQ.. We don't even admit we work there when asked. We cringe when someone in the restaurant even mentions Ftr. But on occasion we like to poke the bear and hand out Joe's number. We promote TDS and Spectrum.

It's depressing seeing Wisconsin do down the drain. Not by the overworked craft employees but the Director Joe.
While his numbers look impressive ,his demeaning behavior continues since his 1st day he got hired . From supv to LM to director he can't keep employees. No layoffs here no one wants to work here.

The company, at least in Wisconsin are union busting. Contractors are doing the installs , when they choose to show up, and the employees get the cr-p jobs.

Yep,between what Joe Muia has done to this state by driving techs and LM's away and placing fiber 10years to late. Wisconsin is done. This company is a disgrace compared to 12 years ago. All thanks the lack of management. They sent the good ones packing in November of 2016. Kept the boot lickers.

As a retired employee of Ftr, once VZ ,once GTE from Wisconsin I have to say what a dumpster fire the state has become. Joe has drove his employees out the door and this is what is left.
I can't get a real employee to install fiber internet. Contractors have been assigned to install my line but told them to get the F off my property. See what you did Joe,no employees left. What layoff, who wants to work here .

Wisconsin turned into a dump in 2016. Operations and Land and Buildings got slashed. People with the best knee pads stayed and the rest let go. Kinda been the companies montra ever since.

So agree with the condition of the report centers and central offices. I was responsible for over 25 buildings back when the company gave a cr-p . I was sent packing in 2016 in WI (back when employees gave a cr-p ).
To this day I'm embarrassed I was associated with this companies properties. My hope VZ cleans up the image. As for the current employees Speak Up already. This is a reflection on YOU. Bad company perception means less customers ,means less employees and Layoffs.

My job in Wi takes me all over.
The direct reflection of management can be seen in our properties. The lack of maintenance and landscaping on our report centers and central offices make me sick.
If customers see this, it's a reflection of our work ethic. Joe do better.

I see Ftr is hiring manager to over see door to door sales.
Hope the wear body armor. People still have bad tastes about the company. New fiber placement or not .

Wisconsin has had a hiring issue since 2017. Same guy in charge, same issues. I don't think there will be a lay off ever in Wisconsin unless it's in assignment Dept. They just get rid of employees if they don't meet the standards. Which by the way are unrealistic. Trust me I know.
