Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Tera… what ?

Dying for TD ? Never. It's definitely sad but utterly pointless. Don't let despair take over your life! Life offers much more excitement and possibilities than what TD can. Give no heed to such a futile entity. Instead, grab the opportunity, take what you can, and make a swift exit. There's a whole world out there, ripe with opportunities waiting to be seized. Data science, especially within TD, is but a drop in the ocean. 'Data what?' you might ask. Remember, billions of people thrive in careers far removed from the vexations of what you're experiencing. With a bit of imagination and bravery, countless fulfilling paths can be found beyond the confines of a deteriorating company like TD. It's merely a conglomerate of mediocre, shameless leaders - a far cry from where anyone with self-respect would want to be. The real act of valor? Leaving TD behind without a second thought. Stay courageous. Focus on staying true to yourself and alive to the endless possibilities that await. Quit !!

The sad part are all the 31 year + mid level managers that will do anything to keep their jobs and then lie about they had no say in the layoffs. Do yourself a favor, quit hoping it doesn't happen to you because that is when it will....blindside you. Take proactive steps to be prepared to move on ASAP. Remember TDC, short of being a SQL Datawarehouse, has no redeeming qualities as far as experince on a resume. People look at it like working for CA or IBM...no one with any ambition would stay longer than 5 years
