In all hands meetings... The notion of small pockets of layoffs in IT means more layoffs. Quality and layoffs do not go well together. Historically, Boeing kept people who management liked, not necessarily those who knew the job. This is going to be yet another disaster in the making. The company laid off a lot of people in 2020, and had a myriad of quality problems afterwards... Just saying....

sounds like 2200 layoffs at Spirit and 1100 at Boeing, High level source. Start in early June as soon as line flow gets hammered out with FAA

When SP gets named CEO. It’s just the beginning they’ll try to move a thousand engineering jobs to someplace cheap like India. All these MBAs have the same playbook. Layoff, outsource, rinse, repeat. Boeing will be lucky if they even keep a paint hanger for final asst.
Very bleak times ahead for those who counted on a income from this operation.

Boeing has been systematically dumping their experienced people since the mid 90s. Boeing leadership did so to enable their illiterate aerospace bean counter nepos to get hired, promoted and personally enrich themselves. It only took a handful of degenerates to destroy Boeing from within. Same can happen to a country too.
