You can hear it, feel it, and see it. The entire leadership is panicking. No one has a clue what they are supposed to be doing. A complete lack of direction from the top down.

Speaking of EL, are the entire 23 member operating council considered executive leadership? Is it just Bill, Beau, Mike, Dontae, Clark and Kristen that are the real EL? Which is it? Who is the real C suite
And BB&T wasn’t failing. Sorry to burst your bubble
All the LinkedIn self promotion is hilarious. Especially the business life cycle initiative. Who wants to hire a poorly run corp to advise them on how to operate a healthy company. That’s like going to a chain smoking cardiologist
Two sh---y regional banks that needed saving became one sh---y bigger bank that needs saving. Are we really surprised? Only the lifers are the ones who don’t see it… Just keep sniffing the purple pixie powder. Everything will be fine. Bill will save you.

While I agree with your lack of direction and no clue comments, EL is hardly in panic mode. I mean, why would they be? Huge salaries, bonuses, and most likely golden parachutes. In their minds, the mess we are in isn’t their fault, it’s our fault. Now when I see senior management in my LOB, I they are nervous, and they should be. Five years into this merger and the bank still can’t execute on anything correctly. No way project STAR is over, it’s just on hold. There will be changes, retirements, and more shifting of senior management. But no worries in the EL space, they will pat themselves on the back for a job well done and give themselves a bonus.
They know exactly what they are doing.

So, nothing’s changed recently I see.
