Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Oh, well...

There you go:

Simon Leopold, an analyst at Raymond James, said at the end of last year that while the possibility of bankruptcy cannot be dismissed, he is optimistic that CommScope has almost reached its lowest point (oh, now this is promissing, so touched the bottom) and can avoid going into default. He acknowledged that CommScope is a reputable (really???) company but also highlighted its facing of significant obstacles.
In a recent earnings call in February, CommScope's EVP and CFO, Kyle Lorentzen, assured (as in "rest assured" with the emphasis on the word "rest") that the company does not plan to hastily sell off its assets at undervalued prices.
According to recent reports, CommScope has been considering the divestiture of certain assets, including Ruckus Wireless and its Access Networks Solution (ANS) division.

Probably RJ and related firms bought tons of comms stock at higher price. Sure, they cannot sell until fool somebody to buy. Comms has no attractive assets, its prime time is over, its future is just down sizing and completely gone.

A business is only worth what another is prepared to pay for it. Right now, these businesses are not fetching good money, yet CommScope will be getting increasingly desperate to sell. I see no bidding war here.
