Based on experiences/stories from 2019 layoff, Does anyone know how long it takes until you get the confirmation from HR after registering voluntarily to the program in Germany?
I heard it took around two months cz you need to wait until the registration phase is done then internal discussions then you will be contacted if accepted.
Any ideas?
Germany did not offer anything yet as they are still in negotiations with the works council. But it will be early retirement and voluntary program.
US offered only VERP. Germany offered both voluntary program and also early retirement program.
I accepted the VERP last week and got a confirmation email from HR today.
Is that for the Voluntary Retirement Program - or for general Voluntary? Didn't know there was a general vol prog.
