Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

The Boeing Business model is now the equivalent of fast food McDonald's. Place your order and hurry up and put in the air.

Mickies also don't get government hand-outs.

McDonald’s makes a profit every quarter unlike Boeing and they don’t spend $1 billion paying the CEOs to do a bad job

Please don't insult McDonald's. It has far better leadership, is very well run, has happy employees and provides products that customers like and feel safe about.

When Boeing preferred to hire people based on skin color and gender instead of merit you see the result.

Fast food in California pays higher than Boeing. Is $20 an hour. Plus rarely layoff. Boeing lays off every few years.

Aviation is not a good career. Boeing is not a good career. Boeing employees are telling their relatives friends not to work at Boeing and to pursue a career in something besides aviation. Aviation requires quite a lot of training and you are paid and frequent layoffs. It’s not worth it. Almost every other blue-collar job pays better, is more stable, and you’re treated with more respect.

This is a 751 contract move. As stated earlier same old game plan. Boeing telling union people give us buy backs or we will take the new airplane to a more friendly state. Time Machine in the past 787 and 777 wing. The union higher ups will fall in line with Boeing as in the past and have you agree to a bad deal. Boeing is wanting to fix a problem by putting bandages on the problem and in fact it’s needs deep surgery.
