Thread regarding Nordstrom layoffs

Restaurant Closures

Surprised to not see this yet here. Last month it looks like Nordstrom closed the restaurants in its lowest volume stores, instead directing customers to the eBar which now has more food items.

These stores have lost their restaurants:
Menlo Park
Northshore
South Shore
St. Louis Galleria
West County Center
Mayfair
Dallas Galleria

Anyone know of other locations which closed their restaurants?

Better to be unemployed than to spend a single day working for the mo--nic new full line stores president.

The company has invested on Rack stores. Customers are reluctant to buy full price items.

Dallas Galleria's restaurant has been closed for months now. It was weird, they started with closing the third floor where the restaurant was, built seating in the middle of the walkway in front of one of the 2nd floor entrances, and brought down food to the tables by elevator and escalator... Then one day they put out a sign saying it was closing the next day without any other warning. Felt bad for the restaurant staff.

Mayfair is a fairly new store (2015) and the restaurant was one of the nicest in the chain, IMO. Sorry to see it didn't do well.

Santa Monica also lost their restaurant last month.

Menlo Park is a dump, if not for Nordstrom using the 3rd floor as NYC distribution, this store would have been long closed.

Overall it’s kinda sad, however not surprising. It always seemed the ebars did decent business, the restaurants not so much.
