I've heard of several people in ANS getting laid off. Most are leaving on Friday.

The meeting I was in had 43 people from ANS in the April layoffs from several locations.
Meetings for the sake of having meetings. Don't even begin to think just how much they are earning from their salary with time spent in meetings to... plan the next meeting!
I hear of some people complaining when they don't have a meeting booked as if it is now a case of what they going to do with their free time cos there is no meeting.
However, I'm sure with some free time, they can book their next flight!
ANS has several VPs reporting to VPs reporting to a SVP. It's ridiculous, they just attend meetings all days and give presentations to one another. That's who they should replace AI with.
PowerPoint jockeys! LOL. There are plenty of them still with the company. Time to rid of the gangs that come up with overly artistic PowerPoints, dash boards, displays and pretty pictures now. You can't polish a tu-d!
By this point, got to start thinking get back to basics and flush out the fancy stuff. Not the time nor the place for it.
What a great term "PowerPoint Jockeys". Is true there so many of these in so many organizations earning top dollar(6 figures) but no real work.
I don't have actual numbers. They did get rid of some PowerPoint jockeys, which is a nice change of pace. Each of those saved at least several people that do real work.
So...? What was the carnage? How many laid off? Which products got the axe? Details! Details! Details!
Anyone know what sites affected and how many laid off?
I've heard about someone who was impacted. Yesterday was his last day. He was in an engineering role. He mentioned that there have been no new product introduction (NPI) activities for several months. He was assigned to reduce excess inventory by either using it in other projects or converting it to other products with demand in order to deplete the inventory. However, there were no new NPI activities in quite some time. He is a highly recognized engineer with several contributions, so it's saddening to see him leave.
