I just got hit with a double whammy. A good friend that has been at HP for 8 years just announced that their job is being eliminated at the end of April and sent out goodbye emails.
I am a CW and just 4 hours after receiving that goodbye email I got word from my agency that I have to take an 80-hour furlough before the end of April.
The cutbacks are alive and well.
Same old same old. HP is an awful company.
You'll be okay. 8 years is loooooooong in the tooth time to last. Your good friend just wasn't really like by their manager, regardless of what the manager says. Your good friend should have prepared for this moment starting 7 years, 11 months ago. Both HPs are absolute garbage.
