Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

This is not where talent wants to come

We have so many jobs open because we can't fill them. The applicant pool is poor and can't get anyone with any solid audit background to apply let alone commit. It's a joke most of the interviews I have done. We have people leading groups with no audit background at all. This is not where talent wants to come. Facts are the people we let go, the people who have left for better roles, and the disgruntled still here have friends across Bank of America, Ally, US Bank, Synovus, Wells Fargo, PNC audit orgs and they aren't quiet about what is going on here.

The issue is that 95% of the job postings are now for H-1B VISA holders only. Because then the bank does not have to pay for medical insurance, 401K, pension. No contracts. Oh, the salaries are decent, but once you take out taxes it's not all that much. But you can't be a US citizen and get the base with bennies.

The bank has this grand plan to offshore and outsource as many positions as they can at a fraction of the cost. For every dollar in the US, they can hire 3 in India or 4 in the Philippines. No insurance or benefits as they are third party contingents who usually last 1-3 years before they jump to another contract.

Still no RP for Western NC named. Your headquarters is located in this region. I assume Jenna has been acting in this role? They usually make a big deal of naming RPs why is this been given no publicity? Campbell has been gone since last October. What’s the deal here?

All the remote leaders have a office location to go to but they don't go. Why to get up and stress and fight traffic when the rules only apply to the ruled not the rulers.

They can come to the office in Charlotte while their manager making insane amounts of money works remote rather then being told to relocate as they should.
