Thread regarding Envestnet Inc. layoffs

Management Logic

I think we are getting worse as it relates to simple business skills that our managers have, seriously, operationally we are making big big mistakes and there are no consequences. The worker is an afterthought too, so that needs to be added to the list. Here is another one for you, we cut a quarter of the workforce but minimal consequences on the exec team? Hmmm, not sure this is right. Stock recovering a bit helps but overall we are still in deep trouble, I'd expect more clean up on the top but I know it'll not happen. Blackrock will win no matter what.

Envestnet doesn't have managers, they have bosses.

I agree with you thematically. Management is preparing for a sale, which .. in hindsight, makes the "pay for performance" mantra absolutely transparent. Sure, you out-perform your peers, you get a 3% raise and maybe 80-90% of your bonus target. Oh, and if you're lucky, you're still in a job category that grants you equity.

I've dragged my feet there for years and laugh at the people who actually try. Management doesn't give a fu-k, they are too busy paying themselves for sh-t performance.
