Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Separation Package - More Info

I actually have an amazing HR person who is/was always very responsive. Emailed her on Saturday and got her response at 8:45am this morning.

Not a lot of info but at least some clarification for those who got laid of in US. (I'm located in NY HQ 388):

  1. I got a WARN email notice at 11:40pm on Friday, saying that I'll be terminated as of 6/29/24.
  2. Notice working period starts today 4/1 until 4/14
  3. On 4/15 transition to a non-working notice period.
  4. Separation agreement will be delivered as soon as administratively possible after the start of the non-working notice. It will be delivered to a personal email via DocuSign so it's very important to make sure that all personal info, including email, address, phone number is updated in Workday.
  • During the notice period, pay and benefits continue as usual.
  • Access to the Citi systems stays, but I won't be able to print, transfer data on USB, or send emails outside of Citi.

Still no clarity on the separation package itself but at least some clarity on the timeline although it's so wrong to keep us on the toes for so long.

Hope it helps!

My non-working notice period started in Feb 1 and will end in April 30. I thought the separation agreement should be sent to us in 6-8 weeks after non-working notice period started. 8 weeks already passed, but I still have not received any separation agreement. Does anyone have similar situation? Anyone knows when we will receive the separation agreement?

Citi typically cuts off all email access during the onset of your non-working period. Some have lost access immediately upon notification of the termination. Get your paystubs, evaluations and whatever else you need asap.

You should receive a separation summary in your personal email a couple of weeks after they've told you goodbye. My package arrived via email a week before my termination date.

The severance pay won't come immediately after your termination date. While I've read it is taking about three pay cycles for it to show up, my contract showed they are reserving the right to pay within 50 weeks of your termination. Yes, you read that correctly.

To those impacted, there is life after Citi and it's good.

Can you work for other employers during non-working notice period?

You were notified by your management last week that you will be laid off? Or did the layoff communication solely came from that Friday night email?

Thanks. this was useful info.
I am at 33 G as well and was informed verbally by my manager on 3/22 that my roles is being impacted. However I have not yet received any communication from HR on the timelines.

Interesting that they are allowing 3 months email access for internal communication. Hopefully enough time to network and find another role internally.

I rec'd the zoom notice around 9:40 a.m... Then was adv due to org changes I was let go, and I could finish up the day, but today was my last.

I did not recv an email that I was aware of.
I lost system access as of 1:00 p.m. that day.

Only way to contact someone is thru connect one.. Google Citi connect one phone number.. go to HR... And keep following the prompts they eventually say if your on notice press whatever...

Do WARN notices go out to all staff at a location or just those impacted?

“Access to the Citi systems stays, but I won't be able to print, transfer data on USB, or send emails outside of Citi.”
Does that mean that during non-working notice period you can still access email and login to the network ?
