Teradata has turned into a place where you simply collect a paycheck while you do the bare minimum. That's it. Nobody is trying because everybody and their mother know this is no longer a place to grow your career. This is our reality and frankly, I'm okay with it.

While you ponder for TDC’s inevitable ending at least you were not Blindsided and a cautionary tale on Nov. 1st. There are plenty of reasons to get certified in key areas, start looking, etc. because right now its fashionable for tech companies to drive stock prices up while lowering costs (i.e. layoffs, layoffs, layoffs). The Tech industry is in a spiral. The worst part is the TDC management and there lack of leadership and the denial that mid-level managers portrayed that they had no say in the matter....not true. When your selling strategy is renewals and the old captains run to the life boat first - it doesn't bode well that you stayed around TDC for 25 years. Finally, use the TDC DEI policies in your favor....too much has been posted on social media
I was able to get out of Teradata a couple of months ago and the new employer uses Databricks and Snowflake.
It's wild how much easier they are to use than Teradata. Literally we use them and rarely contact their support or professional services groups. Everything just works and this is at the multiple PB scale with thousands upon thousands of workflows.
After being on the other team and working from customer perspective I don't understand how Teradata wins any deals. The value just isn't there anymore.
