Thread regarding Quidel Corp. layoffs

Tragedy

It’s been said 5-6% will be let go now it’s under 10%? Why don’t they let go the entire board who let the company sink instead? Feel sorry for Ortho part to be drag down. Bad decisions, and cutting the “bonus”? Employees are innocent!!

In my tenure with the organization it was a culture of working with “team” members and “leaders” full of their own self interest . With layoffs looming, I can’t imagine what the work environment is like with everyone trying to validate their self worth to keep their job .

The rumour goes they want to move all manufacturing to US in time and get rid of other areas. Not much selling outside of US anyway.

Also shrinking R&D. It’s looking gloomy.

US companies are just smaller versions of our government in how they operate. We get sc--wed by both.

Disgusting, they are sacking people who were with the company, 20,30,40 years and are of more value than the useless CEO and the rest of the board.

Why was only DB sacked? They were all sitting around the same table making the predictions and lying to investors? Should be all jailed

It shows how bad the management is the company needs new ownership!!

The people on top making all the id--tic decisions need sacking !! Not the bottom man doing his job properly!

This company is a poor excuse of a business. Want you to feed in to their canned responses about how much they value and care about their employees and do the opposite. Their bonus was laughable this year and the greed from Board of Directors shows us exactly what and who this company cares about. The Quidel part of the business sunk Ortho Clinical Diagnostics for 2023 and missed their numbers and for the first time in many years that I have worked for this company my bonus su-ked. The board should have taken the hit and now the company is running into all sorts of legal problems including FDA recalls on new rollouts of products and accessories. Time for a new leadership regime and actually get intelligent people to make real goals that make sense vs greed.

Neither Quidel or Ortho employees are at fault, only the board are at fault, and they now punish innocent people, they could avoid ruining people’s lives by simply terminating themselves!!

Ortho employees still got part of the bonus, Ortho still made money.

Look at figures, Quidel made no profit since covid ended, Ortho was above predicted ravenue in all quarters.

It’s definitely Quidel side of the business at fault, Ortho made 108% profit for Vitro’s and 102% for BioVue.
Doug was Quidel, hope Ortho will be sold to someone else Quidel is already down and under

It's the ortho side and their bad leadership that's pulled the company down! Failed company now destroying another company.

Really bad decisions being made by seniors from a failed company, now bent on destruction of another! Wrong people promoted who make poor decisions constantly.
