DEI, Consultants are back and will be increasing

Get ready for more issues from DEI and Consultants. Already I noticed their numbers are rising inside Citi.

There's not as much as DEI as it looks, just a lot of the good ole buddies are making exceptions for themselves and not showing up to anywhere. If you walked into an office you would think 9 out of 10 people in the company are DEI but that's not in line with the actual statistics.

There are company wide metrics to PROMOTE minorities to 14's and above. These metrics are also tied to a D's and MD's compensation. Again, this is part of Citi's strategic initiatives.
So, DEI is good PR? And good PR is needed for what? The bottom line? If it wasn't for this "good PR," would our stock price have been even 20% lower? That "good PR" does absolutely nothing for the bottom line, which at the end of the day, is all that matters.
When accomplishments based on merit become worthless because people are promoted purely by physical attributes or diversity quotas, it takes away the drive and ambition of others to achieve them. When employees lose their incentive to perform, they won't, and that will crush corporate performance (as we've seen)
Is it a coincidence that the negative stock performance became stagnant when Citi started to become heavily invested in DEI?

The DEI talk is misguided. Any recruiting of women, minorities, etc., occurs at very low levels. To be a C14+, you need timing, friends, and desired skill set in that order. This mostly applies to non revenue roles. In revenue roles, it’s highly, highly unlikely that the DEI folks are even being given desired exposure. DEI is good PR.

DEI is absolutely the solution to reversing the stigma that white men are above all. Suggest an alternative, if you must.

How will we restructure society so that all are given the same rights, access, and privileges that white men have forcibly kept to themselves for centuries?

Other than applying practices to help other stigmatized groups gain their comeuppance.

Do you have an idea? Or is it just “protect white men” and apply gorilla grip levels of stroke to their fragile egos? The floor is yours.

What the he-l are you ranting about? Your view of DEI is nonsense. Citi invites minorities to group discussions which are for show only. Do you see hispanic or black people being promoted from those workshops? No! The bank has too many Indians on visas when Americans (of all races) are capable of filling those roles. If you are angry because you haven't been promoted, it's because you don't have friends at citi. Deal with that and stop trying to stir race based resentment among weak and fearful white people.

Why is Fraser doubling down on DEI? It does absolutely nothing for the company exce[t cost a lot of money. Diversity of thought? Um, NO. No matter where you're from and what you look like, you're just gunna fall in line with the Citi way of thinking and the Citi culture.
If we don't acknowledge DEI, does it look bad? Would our stock price have been EVEN lower? Thanks to DEI it didn't completely tank?
DEI is worthless, meaningless and worst of all, it's racist.
DEI must DIE.
DEI = Didn't Earn It.

I’m over the DEI cr-p. We need to stop focusing on race and shift our attention solely to skills. DEI is racist.
