You have to remember that SE is a very lucrative tool for the company. You under pay your sales reps all year, put the carrot out there of a trip, then as a company only cover half of the cost of the trip, and all of the new millennial sales reps out perform relative to their pay.

Staples s*cks a$$. They are so top heavy. All for the almighty dollar. Won't be surprised when they file bankruptcy. JL won't care. He still gets his $$$. So glad I don't work for this sh!t show of a company anymore.
TOP AVPs, TOP ASMs, TOP BDMs and TOP B2Bs who were in the running for SE including HUNDREDS of employees who dedicated their lives were laid off due to the "financial" instability and future of Staples. On top of that, you can brag that the trip is to Rome???!!! SMH!!!
SE is in Rome. October trip.
Could someone please elaborate on what this is? As a 20+ year employee who was laid off this past November, I'm curious to know what this failing company is spending money on instead of employee retention.
Thank-you!
Top performing AVPs were laid off that were in the running based on performance. Go figure.
Unbelievable!!! Staples laid off all those reps in October and top notch ones and Staples can still afford Sales Excellence. They worked their butt off!!! So not right as it has effected many that were laid off and their families 😢😡
Yes, this trip is funded 50/50 between Staples and its vendors as its the most expensive trip in the history of SE.
