Why is no one talking about the effect Mini-draw will have on those manufacturing tubes?

Those plants manufacturing vacutainer tubes for blood draw. What part of the current market will be taken by minidraw. Yes, there will still be some need for traditional tubes but...
I used to work at BD Sumter. It looks like Minidraw will use significantly less blood for sampling than a traditional blood draw - so then it would call into question the need for classic tube manufacturing capacity in IDS. Sumter and Broken Bow make IIRC the majority of the Vacutainer tubes within the network along Plymouth - at least that's what I remember.
I think there would still be a need for the classic tubes - but the questions would be how much? BD Sumter still manufactured VMS straight needles even though PBBCS was their premier product. They would still have a life - the question is how long...
No experience here with IDS products. currently at MDS. What do you mean by manufacturing tubes?
