Commission Payment

My last day is today with the VCF sales team in the midwest.

I received the commission a couple weeks back, the problem is I'm hearing that you don't have to worry about paying the $$$ back as it's not enforceable. Others are saying you do.

My question is when CA and or Symantec went through this same Y1 commission situation, what was the outcome at that time?

I just read the agreement again and as stated its for Broadcom software Group Not VMware BU, so the agreement is void. Unless of course you're in BSG.

The Broadcom payroll team is likely overwhelmed like every other back-office function. Whatever they decide to do to resolve each issue will take time. They must have a huge backlog of open issues. Just hope that they make the right choice in your case.

I think it depends if it’s Commission or Incentive Pay.

It’s not recoverable. The commission doc u signed was generic and signed by all of BSG and is not VMWare specific.

Commission should belong to everyone in the group. Engineers work hard and everyone in the group.

Keep it. Don’t spend it. If they push it then you have the money. I (highly) suspect they will ignore it. I think you’re fine. If you’ve spent it and are nervous and anxious about it I would relax. If you have it, keep it for now.

Don’t bring it up.

I’ve had similar happen. You’ll be fine.
