Yes, expect an announcement this summer. Changes in Q3/Q4. Hopefully, they will get rid of all the senior leaders who literally have never had a successful well. I seriously cannot understand how explorationist rise the ladder when they've never been successful at anything but brown nosing. A string of dry holes does not a successful exploration make.

We can also "explore" other streams of energy revenue in Energy that aren't oil and gas.

I remember at one time hearing Shell Oil staff talk reverentially of John Bookout, a past company president, who came up through the ranks as a geologist. They said he could “smell oil” given his reputation for finding plays.
Then you get to the era of John Hoffmeister as president who was a mid-career hire from a career as a human resource manager - oh brother; and the parade of posers after him.
Yes, times change and a business must adapt. But, leadership qualities and an in-depth hands-on business understanding never go out of fashion.
Where is Shell’s pipeline for this needed talent? Looks like the plan has been to buy-high/sell low outside “talent”, just like pre-found BBLs/MCFs.

True, but without exploration this is a company on its way down..production won't grow the company, nor will green energy. You can buy yourself barrels for premium price, as the old saying goes..an oil company lives and dies by exploration. I am sure a bunch of production guys will dispute this...but your views are not important..just keep turning those valves and stay in your place.

Meh, don’t care much for UPX anyway. Bunch of geologists who blame “subsurface uncertainty” for their constant dry holes

Strange if they want to maintain oil production, but I guess do more with less. Maybe if we would take some risks and drill a few wells we might find something
