Thread regarding CVS layoffs

This is how Fridays conversation went.

Well here's your offer for a district you can say yes but if you say no we are going to let you go. However, I can offer you a severance package instead to walk away. So how many other field leaders took that package to get out of this sinking ship?

I wasn't given that offer. I was a good manager. Paragon 3 times. I eventually took a pretty bad district to turn it around and couldn't get on top of it although I made improvements. I'm being made to step down back into a store. It's really messed up.

Same. I took severance. Not going to ruin my career if this gets worse no one is even going to look at us in for other jobs.

Corporate layoffs are likely coming this fall. Headcount is too high, look what is happening with open roles and reqs.

  1. Corps over-hired
  2. Corps overpaid
  3. Corps are trimming excess now for the new reality of higher costs everywhere
  4. Plan your salary accordingly there are no companies that want to spend $$$$$$s to get talent
  5. Buy more ammo.

The good DLs that were loved probably took that payout and CVS is gonna feel it when the managers leave to follow them.
