Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

If you are trimming the useless, start with HR.

Those guys provide no value to the company at all. From them you get either no answer, busted links, a link to the FAQ which is filled with guess what…more busted links and eventually the HR chatbot.

If that’s as good as its going to get you might as well let them go. Keep a skeleton crew with a few HR managers. If you need more HR staff then hire temp staff as you need them and let them go when done.

Bottom line, start with HR.

A crutch, similar to how you boost yourself up by convincing yourself that others/minorities are below you and generally unqualified. Telling yourself that you’re doing everything right and others just have things handed to them. Your ego is akin to the Baltimore bridge. One little tap and poof.

Egotistical, but honestly so half-assed. You rely on sh-----g on others to make yourself feel good. Better if it just came from within, but you don’t even have that going for you. Too busy doing d-mb sh-t, maybe?

Almost pity worthy, but, no. It’s clear you’re doing it to yourself.

Mayday! Mayday!

Just a leaning on that crutch and I mean HARD.

Sometimes, when people are white, they can’t comprehend the fact that minorities do not have any unfair advantages and that it is quite literally the opposite. You lot turning your nose up at “DEI” is a testament to that.

Judgement, assuming lack of qualification based on race. Thinking that a minority is in position simply due to DEI.

Y’all aren’t slick. Best to not get that twisted.

Sometimes with the truth hits close to home the word “racist” is used as the person can’t think of an effective counterargument. Its not racism if its true.

I often wonder how that conversation plays out inside a person’s head.
“You are aware and acknowledge that I have an unfair advantage. You’re not supposed to actually say that out loud….YOU’RE A RACIST!!!”

@bck+1rJy7C7T When a company sets quotas for the number of employees of certain categories (race, religion, s-xual orientation, etc.), and see that they have more employees of one category, they prioritize hiring people of one category over another so that they can meet their quotas and have a better reputation among investors and the public. That is inherently discriminatory as the company provides an unfair advantage to one category of people over another. Employment should be offered based on one factor and one factor alone, merit, and every candidate should be treated equally. We must seek equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome.

Also, how can you assume @bat+1rJy7C7T is racist or xenophobic? They simply stated an opinion. When DEI is implemented to pursue quotas or equality in numbers, it can be racist. They did not mention hating any particular people because of their race or nationality. For all you know, they may have faced racism themself.

DEI is racist? That’s funny—it exists because of racism and xenophobia, so you can thank yourself for that.

Seems like HR is coming to grips with ALSO being on the chopping block.
Rough, when the vultures start circling, isn’t it.

You've made your point on the umpteen other threads you've started and replied to yourself on. Please spare us your further HR fetish masturbatory spatterings.

@nes+1rJy7C7T Are you living under a rock? You don't see the doubling and tripling down on DEI? It's all over the internal website. It has its own section. It's one of the major strategic initiatives for the year and is always mentioned in some C-suites communication. Take off your blinders.

@bat+1rJy7C7T HR can’t even answer phone calls yet you think they have time to implement an actual DEI program. Don’t be daft. Go back to Twitter.

Especially the DEI part of HR. Worthless, meaningless and most of all, it's racist.
