He was looking a bit rough, but then again I went to one "chat" he gave shortly after coming on-board and that was the last time I attended anything he was involved in. Anyway, maybe that's just how he looks now?!

It's an attempt to put a positive spin on the "too big to fail" argument the DOJ's anti-trust division will use to say that UHG can't be allowed to keep absorbing physicians and competitors.
"See? We're so big we can fix disasters like this." to counter the "you're so big you magnify the impact of disasters like this" position.
very strange indeed. He also mentioned several times the only reason they were able to fix is due to UHG's size. Sounds like he will start trying to sell that that to the regulators. something brewing.
