Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

TransUnion launches platform powered by AI

If you open up the Stocks app on your iPhone and look up 'TRU' ticker, you'll see a press release with the headline "TransUnion launches new data analytics platform powered by AI" published on 3/14/2024 with Venkat's photo and profile.

My take away from the PR:

  1. GCC is a short term solution. They will suffer the same fate as U.S. employees once Venkat has figured out how to use AI to replace most of the work done by GCC.
  1. Venkat is being profiled instead of CC. He's getting groomed to be the next CEO since he'll be controlling most of the head count going forward.
  1. This PR is to pump the stock and align TU with AI industry stock performance so execs can cash out early before the market figures out how much advanced AI is really in this platform.

I saw that, too. There’s going to be so much exposure to regulatory breaches and lawsuits, and I don’t know if they’ve contributed to enough big-business/grifters in Washington to avoid the fallout from the inevitable Equifax event.

Humans are too expensive. The ultimate goal is to layoff US and EU workers by moving those positions to India and then layoff the India based employees with autonomous AI agents that cost only $10 an hour.

Once it’s possible, they will do it.

See how much they made in 2022 and 2023 and still they laid off people doubling their pay

A Google search using TransUnion news also returned this story a couple days ago. CC is a textbook narcissist. Unless he’s forced out scarykat will stay CTO. It looks like CTO runs company now anyway.
