I had my meeting. It was only to tell me there were no changes in my role and that I wasn't affected.

Post ID: @2nck+1rGYCPYx Do Not and Never trust what they say. You must assume and anticipate that YOU WILL GET LAIDOFF. We were told the same thing in DART USA: There will be NO changes or Layoffs in DART. This BULLSh!T was a blatant outright LIE ! The next Fvcken week about 50 people got Laidoff !!! And there were more after that week since !

I had 15mins call with my manager today - Asia risk - just to be told there will be no changes. I understand all managers are required to communicate to their directs irrespective of change/no change.

Very likely whoever doesn’t get call by March 26th hasn’t been terminated in this round.

I was laid off last week. Similar short zoom with my direct manager. HR has not contacted me at all yet…

Post ID: @gkq+1rGYCPYx Actually Citi HR is getting paid for free, to do nothing. There are several threads on this Site about how useless HR is. Employees are directed to Chat boxes and if we're lucky there are phone numbers we can call. There are few if any live "human" beings. Citi can save money by transferring the HR function to AI-ML.

I am in ERM - few of my colleagues were invited to a meeting on Friday,3/22 and they were informed about their role change/moving to other group and I didn’t get any invite, should I be worried?

Post ID: @bvs+1rGYCPYx it's Not about fear mongering. Employees should have started packing and taking home their personal items out of their Citi Lockers and desks starting last year. Sometimes the Admins/Secretaries are told to empty out lockers without being told or informed that the Employees who own the lockers were RIFed and need to either pick up their belongings in person or have their items shipped to them. Why risk getting your personal belongings thrown in the trash?? Don't be lazy or negligent. Just collect and bring home your personal Sh!t now, asap.

As for the stuff in the locker comment, most folks who are let go aren’t walked out. They may work for another week or two before any non working period. You’ll be able to collect your stuff, don’t fear monger.

It could also be if who you’re reporting to is changing (new manager) or role will be changing. This happened to me

Another Rule of Thumb is Never leave anything of value in your Citi Locker, office desk (if you still have a designated desk), Citi Gym Locker, etc. This could also mean clothes (blazers, pants, sweaters, etc.). People have hung up jackets, blazers and have shoes on the floors in 388 in and around locker areas that they could not fit inside their own lockers. Everyone should have started packing since Sept. 2023 and left the bare minimum of personal items if any, in all of Citi's buildings. I know I have. I did this when I heard and saw the CitiSh!t hit the fan back in Spring 2023 ! Also clean out the refridgerators in the pantries if you have food or storage containers you want to keep. Assume and anticipate that you WILL GET LAIDOFF.

These 15 minute meetings are true, but could mean:

  1. Your manager is changing or you're being transferred to a different team or group.
  2. You're Laidoff.

OR
The Firer will Not even schedule a meeting with you that shows on your Calendar. They'll simply phone you impromptu and tell you you're Laidoff.

Not necessarily, meeting can be for folks whose manager is changing or who are getting converted from manager to individual contributor.
