A guy in IT just got laid off while on FMLA. Everyone thought there's no way they'd lay off someone on that team due to the work that team does, but here we are. Don't believe anyone when they tell you you're safe. You are never safe.

Too true. You are NEVER safe. They can talk about community and family but in the end you are an asset for the id--ts on top.
