Problem with blaming anyone other than the Boeing leadership is that it was the Boeing leadership who set Boeing's hiring policy and then hired the so called lazy and incompetent Boeing employees. So ultimately...ALL of Boeing's failings are the full responsibility of the Boeing leadership. And it was Boeing leadership who set the policy to put stock price above ALL else. And Boeing employees with half a brain know that Boeing is doomed regardless of how well they do job. Boeing is now the sinking Titanic with their PR band still playing sweet music to Wallstreet ears to try to keep stock price high for more executive severance packages.

Jim McNerney chose to invest in stock buyback instead of new product development. The company is never going to recover from that decision. to trying to compete with Arbus with a 60 year-old derivative with a now questionable safety record.
They have underbid the handful of defense contracts. They have won and none of them show a profit.
Just epidemic case of mismanagement in every aspect of the company.
They do not care that they (the board) destroyed a national treasure
along with wiping out 20,842 Billion dollars in GDP.

Boeing has been on a glide path to non-existence for at least 15 years. Even if they started development of new airplanes today, it would be at least 10 years before they would be available...that's 2034 at best. Imagine where Airbus and COMAC will be in 2034...
Airlines who foolishly purchased these steeply discounted and unsafe Boeing airplanes will soon be feeling financial pain too.
Seems like there has been a massive cash drain for over 5 years now. Boeing has been selling everything they can and taking on huge debt largely to only the benefit of their nepo executives. So what else is new...
