These days, I hear more people say "I hope I'm laid off" than those who are saying "I hope I'm not affected." When you turn layoffs into something people are hoping for, then you know you failed as leadership and as a company.

@chq+1rDGbhxW Yes. Nasty emails and rude zoom meeting have ramped up lately. I've been practicing the art of detachment and who gives a F. No more extra time or energy for these people. I'm doing just enough each day. It has been helpful with dealing with the abuse and chaos. Not only does the EMT not care it trickles down to all the management team at least in O&T.

What is it with the focus on DEI in all the comments? From what I see, there is some scorecard metric about this, but at a manager level, they either like you or they don’t. If you’re brown or female or whatever and they don’t appreciate you for whatever reason, you will not remain.
Also, any diversity recruiting only happens at lower levels.
Citi managers are not treating employees like professionals anymore. It is like being in grade school with a mean teacher. Avoid Citi employment

Jane doesn't care about leadership or people. She cares about stock price. You are cattle. She as much as said so. It's a short sighted strategy but I think she know her days are numbered. You can't compete with the other major banks without a solid path forward, competent people with decent morale that want to do a good job, good people to build solid processes, and happy customers. Citi has none of the above and it's getting worse. You can't sell products if they aren't better than your competitor and the service has to be better too. It isn't. This company is rotting from the head and the gut at the same time. The writing is on the wall.
