Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Digital Division DDO - DEI is ki-ling the firm

It's no secret that every F500 has bought and started implementing DEI across the board. Black rock/ESG, etc. Edward Jones is no different. Despite the thin veil of word-smithed keywords, and fancy corporate initiatives, DEI is and always will be by definition, racism. People jump through hoops so it makes sense in their little complicit minds but make no mistake, a spade is a spade. And, we see you.

So our company, who is focused on a specific set of demographics across north america, wants to increase their assets by trillions, increase customer base by millions, while at the same time implementing discrimination and racisim in the workplace. Like our customers won't know whats happening. Edward Jones himself must be rolling in his grave. A disgrace to his legacy.

Here's the deal EJ leadership. Stop your DEI efforts. Disband the new DDO DEI council. Or, here's whats going to happen. We're going to blow the whistle so the entire customer base knows exactly what you're doing. Every move you make, we'll broadcast it. Full blown campaigns where the light will overcome the darkness.

I agree, not sure executive leadership cares, other than how the metrics look, that ultimately affect their bonus/compensation. So thats still a big deal.

EJ should go the route of other major corporations like Microsoft, John Deere and Tractor Supply. NUKE the DEI departments. It's only a detriment to our company and the legacy of those who built EJ to what it is today.

I talked to a FA recently and he completely concurs about how woke EJ is becoming. He is looking to make an exit from a very successful practice because EJ no longer aligns with his values. Much respect to him if he actually does it. Thats the only way these companies listen. They don't give a F about you and I, only profits. So hit them where it counts and you'll see effective change. Facts.

Doubt the Executive Leadership Team even cares about DEI. They have to talk about it and show they are doing something as part of the $34 million settlement of a class action bias claim against Jones in 2021. Policy changes came out after this litigation. It's a 'CYA' so they don't have another lawsuit.
