For example, if you are laid off in April, will you get a 4 month pro rated bonus?

No that's not how it works lol 😂
You need to pass the end of a year to be able to get bonus for that year in march year+1. Prorata applies only for those who joined during that year.
So if you get laid off in December of 2024, you will get no bonus for 2024. Does the US pro-rate the bonus?
No prorated bonus for first few months of 2023 for those impacted in the 2023 layoff.
It follows country by country and the bonus payment schedule is linked to different areas depending if they are revenue generators or enablers.
for some countries where the bonus is paid yearly, they will receive a prorated bonus using a 100% achievement for the calculation.
even though the laid off contributed to achieving the 2024 goals, they will get no bonus. This is one way companies save money using bonus as a large part of salary.
Bonus for 2023 will be paid to those laid off. Nothing will be paid for 2024.
All those laid off will have to sign a release to SAP in order to get the full severance pck.
Depends on country I believe,
Nope.
Your 2023 bonus gets paid out on March 30. If you get laid off in April, you DO NOT get any "prorated 2024" bonus. Your 2024 bonus can only be paid out if you work for the entire 2024 year. It's part of the comp plan.
Do you get a 2024 bonus pro rated for Jan-Apr?
Bonus based on 2023 performance will be fully paid out.
