CK finally visited Prague. The organizers allowed only 300 people to join in person (less than a third of the employees). The rest could join via the livestream (the comments were of course disabled).
Prior to the meeting, the employees got a link to submit and upvote questions, promising that the most voted questions will be presented to CK. Just before the meeting, the link got disabled. Only one question was asked.
The questions from the room were clearly pre-approved.
CK was laughing when talking about lack of proper salary raises, despite Czech Republic having costs of life comparable to Germany. His argument for the lack of those was that when he was living in NY, he could not afford to live in Manhattan either.
RTO? Apparently, it's necessary to make career! People wanted to know the stats, some reason behind the decision, all they got was another BS justification.
Overall - CK likes to humble brag about how he also had it hard in life and he understands the struggles. Another BS - he is a rich son of a rich daddy and a minion of HP. He doesn't care about people (constant smirks and laughs when talking about topics which are serious for us), he doesn't care about one of the biggest SAP locations in Europe and he doesn't care if we quit. He doesn't want to break the promise made to the stakeholders. Verbatim.
