Heard there are talks across all functions which hr setup meetings to discuss layoff date and timing. Soon managers will be reaching out to give notices to those impacted, talking points given to managers for those moved to other areas or getting new teams. Emt 1 to emt4 have been notified and all hands and mdd calls scheduled. There will be smaller cuts during the year and another major cut during q3, wonder how true this is. Our md would lie to us would she?

Sounds like the layoffs will not be happening today, then? I'm guessing in a couple days or longer?
Meh, there’s always someone talking about layoffs somewhere to somebody.
I’ve been at Citi for 10 years, and every single quarter whether it happens of not, there’s talk of layoffs. Its conditioned me to be rather number over it all.
