Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Try not to worry

There are only a few thousand getting let go this month, the rest is spread out over 2 yrs. And even of those few thousand, many will be overseas, not necessarily NYC. So odds are in your favor. Beyond that, no benefit to worrying about things you can’t control.

This poster gets it. Your chances of being laid off are minimal at this point. Do yourselves a favor and try and relax. For your own good.

I'm not worried at all and hoping for a layoff. I'd like to have that severance and pay my debt off and do something else. Tired of the constant redundancy at this company.

If you got a 4 as performance review, you're most likely getting laid off.

I'm not going to be operating with a false sense of security. Just because I haven't been laid off and it seems like it's BAU, I am not going to unwise or think I'm secure. People, even if one survives Q1 who is to say one is safe in the next round. I'd rather not be blindsided.

What about Tampa, Irving and other cities? What about other countries? Everyone doesn't work in NYC. Lol

Because as we all know NYC, and America as well actually are the centre of the universe, and everyone on here is based in said City

Well, now I'm worried. Unlike many, I have been looking forward to being layed off.
I want my severance pay!

Ive worked my but off for 2 years, got a good review and score but never a raise or bonus, just a pat on the back which felt more like a slap in the face. I worked for a complete id--t who has now been placed elsewhere and now have to prove myself to a 3rd manager now.
If they won't give me a cost-of-living increase, raise or bonus, then I welcome the severance over giving up and quitting.

By the way, postings on this site are not exaggerated, I had no idea that so many have experienced the same issues I have in the past which is sickening and disappointing.
