Harassment at Citi Article

https://www.reuters.com/business/citigroup-probes-senior-ipo-banker-over-bullying-claims-2024-03-14/

This article is hilarious. Harassment at Citi is the norm. Managers at Citi get away with whatever they want and HR turns a blind eye. Ive had my manager take away my sick time and said we don’t use sick time in this unit among other things. People don’t say anything because Citi WILL figure out a way to get rid of the victim instead of addressing the problem. Nothing to see here this is normal at Citi carry in folks lol

Post ID: @2uqv+1rAOO6tM I use an "Ignorance is Bliss" Policy. If you're Not aware of or see the emails or the phone calls, you would Not know to act or react to them. Also, if any boss tries to force you to put the Citi MS Outlook app on your phone just tell them that you don't have enough storage on your phone and putting that app on your phone will slow down and cause your phone to malfunction. Do Not put any company apps on your phone anyway because the company can track your whereabouts based on the app's location as it pings on satellites.

Unfortunately that is the case at any company. Was at a previous company where I resigned to come over to Citi. During HR offboarding they asked for an exit interview and details and I wanted to be honest and help out and mentioned about a toxic director who was the reason people around him were quitting. A few months after I see the linkedin notification that he got promoted from director to VP (different ranks outside of banking). What a joke companies are.

Yeah. I am not surprised by this at all. My leaders send nasty EOD emails and on Fridays too. Additionally, I dread saying anything at any time because the management here will talk over you in meetings, do not want to hear any ideas outside of their own or they steal your ideas for their own. It's a lose/lose situation.

Even my worst boss in the past at another company didn't ignore my skills. Here though it happens left and right. If this was my first job and rodeo i would think it was me and not them. Thankfully, I have other work history that proves otherwise. So if you are questioning yourself don't! It's most likely your incompetent bully boss is intimidated by you because they were a "who you know hire".

this happened to me! if you complain to HR, employee hotline or employee relations, they will make you feel they are investigating your complaint but in reality all they were doing was covering their Citi a-s. In the process, I was harassed, retaliated, subject to psychological warfare to eventually got rid off me. Citi is an ethical place and horrible place to complain. Don't trust Citi HR, employee hotline or employee relations.

My advise before you complain to Citi seek legal advise first. Learn how to present your complaint legally.

Also know that once you complain to Citi, they will cook up things and get rid of you!

HR will look into it alright. They’ll look into ways to cover Citi’s @ss, still keep the manager, spin control any issues and ways to get rid of the complainer.
