Manager scheduled a 1 on 1 for this morning. While joining the Zoom meeting HR popped in. Bam. Laid off.

It's not illegal to say you were laid off and what org you're in, because it is factual non disputable information.
Yes, layoffs are real. Very real, unfortunately (or fortunately).
People are not posting which orgs in case if it ever did lead back to them it could affect their severances and have legal implications.
It’s never a bad idea to brush up that resume.

Same here.... the second I saw another unknown individual on the call I knew it was game over. It appears to be a significant amount of bloodletting this time around. Best to everyone still left there!
Sorry, I know it su-ks. Hopefully you can get severance and land another gig before it runs out. Getting booted from Dell is what many are wishing for but all of our circumstances are different.
