Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Start quiet quitting

If you think you shouldn't and UP deserves better, you're not very smart (I'd use another word but I want this post to stay up). Just start doing the bare minimum. Exactly what you're being paid for. And considering how little we're paid, that shouldn't be much. Your life will immediately improve.

@jsgg How about just getting the word out there would be a great start! Quiet quitting is pointless like the other poster said. Saying nothing does nothing. So you quiet quit, possibly get laid off, or just leave without saying anything? No, because that's what they want to have happen. When the negative attention got piled onto Fritz, he started breaking. What's even funny about that is that some folks truly believed Fritz was untouchable or "he's not going anywhere because he's the Wall Street darling". I guess those people didn't really think that he'd actually be removed. It really doesn't matter who you talk too. It just matters who is made aware of the BS going on at the UP. News does travel fast, and there's too many businesses still recovering from last rendition of PSR. That was all brought to you by the very dipsh1t who's now in charge at the UP.

We will never see another railroad strike again. Union members get furloughed and nothing ever happens. It's the sad truth.

This is why a strike need to happen. That would be the best attention getter, look at the attention the UAW got when they went on strike. Strikes don’t only have to occur during contract negotiations, it can happen anytime it’s necessary. And I’d say giving the situation we’re in it would be justified. Like him or not, maybe it will get the attention of our president and his party as well.

Anybody know how to get ahold of 60 minutes? Maybe if enough people tell them about how they treat people then 60 minutes might do a story on little jv

I don't understand the concept of quiet quitting at all. Doing the bare minimum or only what's necessary is what most of us have been doing for many years. A better idea would be to just speak up about the issues to local people or other interested groups. Standing around and saying NOTHING will do NOTHING! Getting others attention and focusing that attention in the UP's direction would be a bit more productive. The more negative attention the UP gets, the better. Quiet quitting is pointless and it only hurts you. Raising ten levels of he11 on your way out brings the much needed attention to the UP, and helps you relieve some stress as you do it. It's win-win!
