I can't believe that VMware is ranked as the 7th best place to work in 2024 based on some Glassdoor algorithm: https://www.visualcapitalist.com/americas-best-places-to-work-2024/
Did Uncle Hok pay them off?

Looks like many have forgotten how Broadcom acquired CA technologies for $18B and flopped badly.
Looks like the data for that is based on 2023.
Hfock is our leader !!! work, get more RSUs, good riddance !
"The most important person at Broadcom is the shareholder"
Obviously wrong. The most important person is Hrock Tran
VMware management poor in decision making; BRCM management best.
Non performing assets have no place in AVGO.
"The most important person at Broadcom is the shareholder"
Agreed, the AVGO employee is viewed as a disposable asset of limited value. It's why the top-performing VMware talent has already left to join a growth-oriented tech company.
All of these big tech companies will look more like Broadcom in 5-10 years.
Lower employee counts, higher margins, more focused portfolios and less fluff.
The most important person at Broadcom is the shareholder
working for VMware was like a dream !
now it is sh-t show!
RIP VMware :(
There's zero credibility in nearly all of those "best" lists.
Oh, come one.
It's known that vmware was paying for the position on the Forbes 100 list.
And when the payments stopped, the company was no longer on the list.
And after some great amount of time, the banners were finally removed.
They took great care of employees. Look where that got them.
