I’ve heard many different things regarding the actual date. Mostly, that announcements will made by people leaders on a Monday to work from home on Tuesday. Then, layoffs will occur on said Tuesday and employees laid off will be allowed to return to the office on Wednesday to return laptops and company owned items. Does anyone know if this info is accurate? And if so, would tomorrow 2/19 be the day?

Next week is a no brainer now and was just confirmed by our VP. Safe bet would be WFH notices Monday, layoffs Tuesday, desk clean outs Wednesday, Stip payout Thursday, Merit raises communicated Friday. Busy week!
Some employees will be given the option of returning to the office, say goodbyes and clean out their desks. It's in the People Leaders FAQ document. I know many who have put their hands up for packages and I'm assuming it will be those that have the option if it comes to fruition for them.
wonder what productivity will be like this week as we wait for next week. how many will just show up and not get much done
Just to reiterate. Here is all the actual information we have. An email will be sent out the day before the layoffs happen stating that they are allowed to work at home the next day due to the disruption that the day will bring. If laid off the employee will be allowed to come into the office the day after the layoff to clean out their cubicle.
This is one of the reasons that the top two contender dates are Feb 27 or Feb 29 for the actual layoff. Both dates allow the employee to come into the office the next day and retrieve their items on a normal work from home day which further reduces any disruption.
Been BOEFed - done that… usually on a Wednesday or Thursday. They don’t let you go back to your office even if in person. They ship it all in a box later so I don’t think you’ll be invited to go in on the day after to cause havoc. They give a generous payout. They have a placement and job coaching agency rep there to help next steps. They walk you out or call a taxi. Life ain’t so bad, better even on the other side but it can be rough initially for sure. They don't want you back on company property. Will likely courier you the paperwork and to pick up company laptop, etc

i think everyone agrees lets just get this round over with. this is not a healthy way for anyone.
All signs point to it being next week. But no. Nobody knows for sure.
Tomorrow is a holiday in Canada. I heard it is next week not this week but some smaller groups could occur this week. we will find out I guess

The answer is "no". Nobody here knows the date with certainty. But... given the March 1st date, and the propensity of Enbridge to do the things mid week, your most likely dates are Feb 20-22 and Feb 27-29.
