Hmmm the 2 comments about bonus payout seems different .
(1) assume 10% , is it 50/50 individual and company , meaning you can be short of the 10% if the company portion is not there?
Or
(2) assume 10%; you can get 100% of that (10%) and then x% from company ‘s discretional portion ? Hence, you can make 10%+
Comp statements will be available to managers on 21st. Will be paid on 1st of March for US. Whatever your plan is sr Director or below 3-20%, only half of that is based on your performance rating and your managers discretion based on the guidance of that rating. For example, of rated performing, the manger can give you 80-120% of that half. The other half is based on company financials.
Appreciate the insights !
With the company layoff and recent financial performance , I’m not keeping my hopes up for good bonus or even full amount .
Hopefully , I am proven wrong though !
If your salary is $100K (for easy math), your full bonus eligible (assuming 3%) is $3K for company and $3K for individual. That is 100% of each portion..
If the company gives 51%, then the company portion is about $1500. Employees can still get full individual bonus at $3000, but could get up to 125% of 3K
Assuming just 100%, this example would be about $4500 before taxes.
Might just be me, but the structure /calculation no longer seem transparent.
What you are saying is you can get 100% individual bonus (ex. X% of your contract) per manager , right?
Then there is the company portion that is discretionary and on top of the X% on your contract ?
Or you mean your full x% on the contract is 50/50 individual and company? Therefore, you might get say 5% + 5%* 0.51 = 7.5% of 10% bonus
Whether your position gives you 3%, 10%.....
Your bonus is based on company performance and individual performance. Your manager decides your individual bonus and the company gives the company portion.
In the US, bonuses for company are expected to be 51%. The individual bonus would be 100% if you get the full bonus. If you are performing, you could reach 125%, leading 150%.
With the company only giving half of that portion though, it means that bonuses will be lower for most people, like last year
The positive is that because bonus is now part of your package, you now are getting that, even if it reduced.
Merits are expected to be low
What does 1/2 individual performance mean?
Say your bonus is 10% per your contract. Does that mean you’d have to get 5/5 performance rating to get full 10%* 50% for individual performance . Then the other 50% is out of your control (company performance)?
Managers will be given the compensation forms for their teams on Feb 21st.
They will be in paychecks on March 2.
Bonus is 1/2 individual performance and 1/2 company. The expected bonus for US employees will be 51%>
Even though I have since been laid off if I remember correctly even if goals aren’t met there is a minimum 50% company portion that is applied.
What? Even though the US did not meet the goals, Chris said he's giving bonuses on the 21st ?
Hmmm, something's fishy. Or you meant to say US did meet the goals?
They will be available on the 21st.
Chris Cartwright said international organizations met their goals, US did not.
Expect 51% for company bonus portion for US employees
