I know I will get many of downlikes on this, and that's okay.
No matter what company you click on, it's the same story. Everyone thinks they know what's going on. "Hey layoff's by the 1000's!" Really? What is your source? At the end of the day, no one knows $#|+. If that was the case, you would have known Juniper was getting bought by HPE BEFORE December. No one mentioned anything, until it happened.
For example, I saw a post on here that said "Juniper died in 2013". Really? That's awesome. I've been here since 2020 and the commercial team has been setting records every single quarter. EVERY. ONE. We got bought because we are at the top of our game. We weren't a low hanging fruit. Bet that.
So to ease everyone's mind of the pessimistic approach that this website is filled with, why not take one day at a time? Why add unnecessary, fabricated stress to everyone's lives? If you take offense to this, then you are probably the ones posting your bigoted opinions of "what's to come".
I am in Engineering. Not C-Suite. Not even close. Most of those dudes don't even know who i am and I am okay with that.
So my advice, although contrasted to every single thing on here, live your life. Do your job. Have fun. Enjoy working. Quit worry about 'what if's', or layoffs that may or may not hit you. Live in the NOW. This website is why most people on here are on Xanax.
And besides, the HPE acquisition, doesn't mean anything. They could have laid everyone off last year or even 5 years ago. Stop with this nonsense of knowing what is coming. You are better than this.
